Albert park, is one of the largest neighbourhoods in Regina and is home to over 11,000 people. The growth in the area began after the Second World War when Regina saw an increase in population. It created a sudden demand for more residential housing and Albert Park was where many of the new homes were built in the 1950’s and 60’s. Apartments were soon added providing more affordable housing for families and the neighbourhood continued to grow.
Today, this south Regina neighbourhood offers amenities such as the Southland Mall, grocery stores, gas stations, medical offices, frequent bus service and numerous restaurants as well as quick access to the ring road and Albert Street and other parts of the city.
Families in the area have options for schooling with Montessori School, Dr. A.E. Perry School or Deshaye Catholic School. As for recreation, check out Realtor Park with it's spray pad, tennis courts, playground, soccer pitches and outdoor fitness park. The children will love it! And close by is the South Leisure Centre with a gym, multi purpose room, board and craft room.
Albert Park has something for everyone!
